Decompression FAQ's

Advantages: Non-surgical, likely effective, extremely safe, FDA cleared, cost effective

Conditions Treated: Herniated disc, Sciatica, Facet Syndrome, Spinal Stenosis, Failed surgery

What is Spinal Decompression Therapy?
It is a non-surgical, traction based therapy that is for the relief of leg and back pain or arm and neck pain. The process cycles through sustained distraction and relaxation periods that are directed towards a specific spinal level. This is achieved through proper positioning that isolates a specific disc, and creates negative pressure or vacuum effect within it.

What does this negative pressure do to help my injured disc?
The negative pressure within the disc creates a vacuum which in some cases have been shown to reduce the size of disc herniations and bulges.

How can this alleviate my shooting pains into my arms or legs?
If the shooting pains are caused by irritation of the nerve due to a disc bulge or protrusion, the irritation may be alleviated by the reduction of the protrusion.

Non surgical spinal Decompression: Spinal decompression is a non-surgical, traction based treatment outcome for herniated or bulging discs in the neck and low back.

Effective for many spinal conditions: Anyone who has back, neck, arm or leg pain caused by degenerated or damaged discs may be helped by spinal decompression. These conditions include herniated or bulging discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, facet syndrome, spondylosis or even failed spinal surgery.

Decompression Therapy sessions: In almost all cases, the treatments are completely painless. In fact, in our experience, many people fall asleep during the spinal decompression session.

The number of sessions needed and your specific treatment plan will be determined by the doctor after your examination.

To reduce inflammation and assist the healing process, supporting structures may be treated with therapy, nutritional supplements, chiropractic adjustments if indicated, and /or rehabilitation.

Why decompression therapy is so effective: The computerized traction head and doctor skill are the keys. Proper assessment and proper use of preprogrammed patterns of distraction and relaxation may permit disc material to be pulled back within the normal confines of the disc and allow healing to begin.

Don't risk surgery: Spinal decompression has saved many people from spinal surgery. If you are suffering from a degenerated or herniated disc, don't risk surgery until you have explored safe and effective spinal decompression.
